Los Angeles was recently named by the United States Olympic Committee as the official US Bid City to host the 2024 Olympics. The bid, which creates the potential for the City to develop its infrastructure, increase its revenue and elevate itself on the international stage, requires an enormous financial and logistical commitment. The CAO hired Ahmed to act as the City’s liaison to the LA 2024 Olympic Committee, working with public, private, philanthropic and nonprofit partners to help develop a comprehensive, financially responsible and competitive plan to bring the Olympics to LA.
