Erika Dimmler (2012-13) came to FUSE in 2012 after 16 years of experience at CNN. At CNN, Erika served as a Senior Producer covering stories ranging from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, the inauguration of President Barack Obama, and a myriad of economic stories including G20 summits around the globe.
After her fellowship, Erika served continued to serve Sacramento in the promotion of healthy foods as a Project Manager for St. Hope Public Schools in Sacramento, CA. Erika worked on implementing signature initiatives of Mayor Kevin Johnson including an overhaul of the district’s school lunch program that eliminated processed foods. From St. Hope Public Schools, Erika took on a role as U.S. Project Manager for the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation (JOFF) running day-to-day management of many of the organization’s programs such as the JOFF/Stanford university cooking program, and the Teaching Kitchen @Stanford. Most recently Erika has joined the Whole Foods Market team, serving as the Regional PR Director for Northern California & the Pacific Northwest.
Erika has a BA in English Literature and International Studies from Boston College, as well as a certificate in Spanish Language and Literature from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
