ERNEST SHAHBAZIAN has more than 15 years of experience in management consulting and entrepreneurship. He has served as a change manager and organizational effectiveness consultant for firms such as IBM, North Highland, and Slalom, and he has worked with clients in various industries. Most recently, Ernest founded Trip Astute, a travel education and marketing company serving travelers and travel-industry brands. Prior to his business career, Ernest served as a communications officer in the U.S. Air Force. He has an MBA from William & Mary and a B.A. in geography from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
To enhance medical care and reduce costs, Los Angeles County plans to launch an Operations Hub that boosts communication and coordination among its 19 health centers and four hospitals. FUSE executive fellow Ernest Shahbazian is partnering with the county’s Department of Health Services to develop and oversee initial implementation of a Hub strategy that could provide a model for efficient and effective healthcare that serves a diverse, urban population.
