Gusti Clark (2014-15) came to FUSE in 2014 with over 15 years of experience in learning & development, organizational development, and project management. Gusti began her career in the nonprofit sector, managing a job training and education center for Seattle Goodwill Industries. In 2006 she won an award for her work in adult basic education. Gusti relocated to San Francisco working for the online technology company Macys.com as a Learning & Development Manager. Within Macy.com’s Human Resources Department, she focused on employee development for software engineering teams. She also served as a Corporate Trainer for Carnival Cruise Lines where she was responsible for delivering ongoing training to a crew of over 900 people representing over 50 nations. Transitioning into a project management role, Gusti managed software development projects for a small biotech start up specializing in interactive systems for clinical trial management. She then served as Assistant Vice President of Professional Development with the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI).
Following her FUSE Fellowship in 2014-2015 with the City and County of San Francisco, Gusti continued her work with the the Municipal Transportation Agency for two years developing career pathway programs for highly skilled trades that address talent pipeline shortages. Most recently Gusti worked as an human capital asset management consultant, running her own company, Prime Meridian Human Solutions Consulting. In 2017, Gusti launched her own travel consultancy company, Prime Meridian Travel, L.L.C.
Gusti has served on several boards of community-based organizations such as Boost West Oakland, CHAMPS and the King County Employment Council. Gusti holds a BA from the University of Washington in Communications with an emphasis in Media, Culture and Technology.
