KIM M. BOWMAN, JR. is an attorney with a demonstrated commitment to public service. He is a captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and a member of the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps Reserve (JAG). Kim is a commissioner on the L.A. County Commission for Older Adults and has served on the boards of several community councils and nonprofit organizations. In 2016, he was the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor of Utah. Kim holds a JD from the University of the Pacific, an MA in gerontology from USC, an MBA from Westminster College, and BAs from the University of Utah.
Partnering with community organizations is among the most effective means of reducing recidivism among youth. Working with the Juvenile Services Division of the Los Angeles County Probation Department, Kim Bowman, Jr. will develop a strategic roadmap for engaging the community to identify ways of reducing recidivism. He also will design a management training program to cultivate leaders who can carry this vision forward. Read more
