Lisa Gans (2012-13) came to FUSE in 2012 with a background in human rights law and international development. She began her legal career at the firm of Debevoise & Plimpton in New York and went on to work on human rights and development issues around the world with non-governmental organizations including the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights Legal Aid Project, The International Rescue Committee, the International Bar Association, the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, Medica Mondiale, and the International Medical Corps.
After her fellowship, Lisa served as Executive Vice President of City First Enterprises, managing programs aimed at community development, job and wealth creation, and access to affordable housing. In 2015, she became a fellow at Georgetown University’s Beeck Center for Social Innovation working on expanding the Center’s executive education offerings, with a focus on impact investing and policy innovation. Most recently, Lisa founded Aperture Innovation Labs, providing a range of strategic planning, innovation, and legal services to a broad range of clients.
Lisa holds a B.A. from Harvard in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
