Calah previously worked as an associate at a San Francisco public finance and campaign firm specializing in education and local ballot measures. Prior to that, her experience includes political campaign strategy and national security and intelligence communications. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Chapman University. At Chapman University, she worked as a coordinator for the Office of Admission generating programming for first-generation college students and facilitating community outreach to local K-12 schools and community colleges. She also held other leadership positions at the university that oversaw diversity, inclusion, student organizations and the first-year experience. While at Chapman University, she spent a semester at American University in Washington D.C. in the political journalism sector learning from national news organizations such as the Washington Post, Slate and NBC.
