Irina Belova helps to share the stories of the fellows’ and governments’ work by building up our media presence and audience engagement, and connecting the work to the communities we serve.
Previously, Irina worked on the communications team at the Red Cross covering disaster preparedness, especially in underserved communities. Prior to that, she interned at Kiva, an international microfinance organization, where she helped serve developing countries on the lender side. She graduated from U.C. Davis with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Sociology, and spent a summer abroad studying economics and finance at the London School of Economics. She was presented with the President’s Volunteer Service Award in Economic Opportunity and Disaster Services.
