Building a Transportation System for the Future

By 2030, St. Paul’s population is projected to grow by eight percent. This demographic growth is being accompanied by game-changing innovations in transportation and mobility. St. Paul Public Works aims to be at the forefront of planning for these changes.

FUSE executive fellow Julie Sell will develop a plan for an integrated transportation system that leverages emerging technology and mobility solutions. She will also be tasked with educating city staff and other key stakeholders on the evolving transportation landscape. She will ultimately present a plan and suggested pilot projects that strategically deploys technology to enhance mobility and opportunity for residents, increases safety, increases the flow of goods and reduces the environmental impact of municipal transport systems.
