Improving Livability in Los Angeles

Mark was tasked with improving operations in the city of Los Angeles to produce more livable, economically viable neighborhoods. During his fellowship, he worked with the City’s Chief Administrative Officer to design and advance reforms of the city’s public works departments, business improvement districts program, and quality of life enforcement teams. As a result of his work proposals were signed into law by Mayor Eric Garcetti and the City Council and the programs were endorsed by The Los Angeles Times and The Daily News.
