Improving Wraparound Services for Swift Re-entry

Providing comprehensive support to justice-involved individuals is a critical goal for L.A. County. To that end, the county seeks to improve how services, such as job training and healthcare, are coordinated for those under post-release community supervision so they can swiftly and successfully rejoin their communities.

FUSE fellow Jessica Aronoff will work to more tightly coordinate and customize services across agencies, including examining the possibility of a mentoring program that extends beyond the period of supervision. Additionally, she will help select and implement pilot programs and work to optimize staff time and resources. These efforts are designed to increase the quality and efficiency of support services and better support formerly incarcerated individuals in remaining crime-free.
