Supporting Resident Entrepreneurs to Drive Inclusive Economic Opportunity
To stimulate growth and prosperity, Washington D.C. plans to create a more comprehensive and transparent ecosystem of support for small business owners in underserved neighborhoods.
FUSE executive fellow Roshawnna Novellus will take the lead in establishing and implementing existing programs, and will help determine what works well for residents in these communities, as well as barriers and constraints that they encounter. She will help devise strategies for new programs that address challenges facing entrepreneurs in undeveloped neighborhoods. By creating new pathways to entrepreneurship, the District hopes to promote inclusive economic opportunity and stimulate growth.
